Schererville, Indiana is a town of approximately 28,000 is known as a "crossroads" town from early Indian trails and modern day highways crossing through the town. In 2007 it was recognized by Money Magazine as one of the top 100 Best Places to Live. The active Park district operates and manages over 130 acres of land in 23 parks, including playgrounds, sports fields and courts, picnic shelters, and paved trails.
