A lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana, Steve joined his wife, Lisa Thompson, in 2013 to create the Lisa Thompson Group. Steve's background in construction, including residential new home construction, helps him uniquely guide clients through the home buying and selling process. His strong work ethic, drive in negotiations, & charismatic personality, put clients at ease and drive results for them!
Having observed his wife's business operations for several years before joining her, Steve recognized that the key to becoming a successful agent was adding significant value to his clients. To achieve this goal, he dedicated himself to acquiring an unparalleled understanding of the market. Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Steve was a bricklayer and ran projects such as the Modern Wing Addition at the Art Institute of Chicago and Rush University Medical Center. He competed in the SpecMix 500 National Bricklayer Competition several times, taking home the Craftsman Award the year he became a REALTOR®.
Steve's daughters, Alexis and Tatum, are now young adults and truly his best friends (along with Diesel, the Yorkie). Steve is an avid motorcross fan and rider. He enjoys nothing more than loading up his truck with his girls and heading off to the track, as Lisa is in the background yelling 'BE CAREFUL’. Steve is definitely young at heart, mind, & spirit, which keeps him driven to always conquer more.
Steve and Lisa have personally rehabbed properties in Northwest Indiana to make them exceptional homes for lucky buyers. Steve does most of the work himself, while Lisa picks out the finishes, which usually blows his budget. Steve was also the general contractor for their personal ‘dream home’ in Valparaiso.
