Valparaiso known as “Valpo” to locals is the county seat of Porter County and home to over 30,000 residents. Valparaiso is conveniently located 50 miles east of Chicago and 20 minutes South of Lake Michigan.
Head downtown to the historic square where you will find dozens of shops and restaurants centered around an arts and music culture. There are frequent markets and events in the downtown area including the famous annual Popcorn Fest! During the winter, the William E. Urschel Pavilion is turned into an ice rink and is sure to fill your heart with heart warming nostalgia.
